Does the SAJ HS2 work with my existing solar panels?

Yes. The HS2 contains a built-in hybrid inverter with two MPPTs and accepts input from any brand of solar panels. For new installations it replaces a separate solar inverter entirely. For homes with an existing solar system, we assess whether the HS2 is best installed as a direct inverter replacement (DC-coupled) or alongside your existing inverter (AC-coupled) — both approaches are supported.

What storage capacity does the HS2 come in?

The HS2 uses SAJ's BU2-5.0-HV modular battery system. Each module provides approximately 4.5 kWh of usable storage. The single-phase HS2 supports up to four modules (around 18 kWh usable), and the three-phase version supports up to five modules (around 22.5 kWh usable). You can start with one or two modules and add more later as your household's energy needs grow.

Can I participate in a VPP (Virtual Power Plant) with an HS2?

Yes. SAJ's elekeeper platform is integrated with 10+ Australian VPP providers, and SAJ reports that over 5,000 Australian users are already participating in VPP programs through elekeeper.
