Do GoodWe batteries only work with GoodWe inverters?

GoodWe Lynx batteries are designed for native integration with GoodWe hybrid inverters and work best in that configuration. For new solar-plus-storage installations we typically recommend specifying both together. For sites with existing non-GoodWe inverters, we assess compatibility during the design process - see our home solar batteries or commercial solar batteries page for how we approach that assessment.

What is SEMS/SEMS+ and why does it matter?

SEMS and SEMS+ are GoodWe's cloud monitoring and energy management platforms. When GoodWe inverters, batteries and EV chargers are connected through SEMS, they share data and respond to each other automatically - solar smart charging, tariff-based scheduling and site-wide consumption visibility all operate from one interface. For sites with multiple energy assets, that unified view is a genuine operational advantage.
