Installation & Compliance

Electricians install the system to AS/NZS standards. All electrical work is certified, grid connection is coordinated, and hardware is commissioned and tested before handover.

Your Questions, Answered

How many chargers does my site need and how do I size the infrastructure?

The right number of chargers depends on your fleet size, dwell time and whether vehicles charge overnight or during business hours. We start with a load analysis to understand your peak demand and map that against your grid connection capacity. In most cases, smart load management means you can charge more vehicles than the raw numbers suggest, without upgrading your connection.

Can commercial EV charging integrate with our existing solar system?

Yes, and it's one of the most effective ways to reduce the per-charge cost. If your site has existing solar, we configure your chargers to draw from generation first. If you're installing solar and charging together, we design them as an integrated system from the outset. GoodWe's SEMS+ platform and the SigenStor commercial system with its integrated DC charger are examples of how solar, storage and EV charging can be managed as a single coordinated setup.

What is OCPP and do we need it?

OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) is the industry standard that allows your chargers to communicate with backend management platforms - for usage reporting, RFID access control, cost allocation, scheduled charging and integration with fleet management software. For workplace charging with more than a handful of chargers, or any site with shared or visitor charging, OCPP capability is important. All the commercial hardware we install - FoxESS A and C Series, Wallbox Copper SB and Commander 2, Delta AC Max Smart - supports OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.

What does ongoing support look like after installation?

We monitor system performance remotely and contact you if we detect a fault before it affects operations. For OCPP-connected systems, we can push firmware updates and adjust configuration remotely. If a site visit is needed, our local technicians respond directly - not through a national call centre. We also provide support as your fleet grows, advising on capacity additions and platform changes as your needs evolve.
